About Us

My name is Mike, I live in Fort Lauderdale, and gardening is my passion. I also happen to be a web developer by trade (another passion of mine). Therefore, I had no choice but to create this website! My hope is to share my experience and what I’ve learned (both successes and failures) with other South Florida gardeners. Working on this site (and the forthcoming associate mobile app) also keep me busy during our off-season and allow me to stay excited for everything grow related.

We have a very unique gardening situation here (relative to other Americans) and there aren’t too many resources that apply directly to us. While the rest of the country is gearing up to grow and grow and grow, our gardening season is winding down. Our area is rated zone 11, which means …

I’m not just a gardener though, I enjoy and pursue all kinds of urban homesteading activities. Chicken farming, beekeeping, vermiculture, hot sauce creation, composting, and more. And I’d love to share it all with you.

Gardening and communing with nature is a great activity for folks of all ages and something the whole family can get involved with and enjoy together. It doesn’t take much to get started and I can point you in the right direction. I invite you to learn from and enjoy the site, hopefully start a free trial of our South Florida garden management service, and get started growing healthy delicious fruits and vegetables. It just might change your life forever.
